I have one on my big toe and its not infected. Doctor won't be able to see me for another week. But I have a half marathon this Sunday.
Is this too long to wait? I don't like going to doctors but I also don't want it to get ugly.

Get it taken out before the half-a-'thon. You'll be miserable, otherwise.
Sometimes this works:
Take some nail scissors and cut a "V" shape in the nail, closer to the side where it is ingrown. Sometimes this will help ease the pain after a day or two. Basically, it pulls the nail out from the side as the "V" grows back together. It can even fix the problem totally in some cases.
It has worked for me in the past, but other times it has fallen flat.
Thank you Attention and Sometimes. . . I'll try to get in sooner and if not that V trick.
If any of you other guys have any input please let me know.
