I recently received the results from a bone scan that revealed I have two stress fractures (one in my left fibula and another in my right tibia.) There is still some pain in my left ankle occasionally and virtually no pain in my right shin anymore. I haven't felt pain in my right shin for about a week now and even when I press on the spot there is no pain. My trainer doesn't want me in a boot for my left fibula which is still hurting and slightly swollen because he thinks I will compensate and make my right tibia worse again. Should I try to push for a boot for my left tibia? Would it be possible to switch off which foot it is on? My family doctor wants me to come in and get a boot from him. Also, I have taken the past 2 weeks off from running and was doing aggressive cycling 4 times a week along with doubling cycling and swimming on the other days. What are opinions on cycling or aqua jogging with both of these types of fractures. Thanks.
