Great coach, yes. Greatest coach, probably not. This is the first time he's brought home 'title after title'.
Seriously? You must be trolling no ones resume even comes close to matching that of Arkansas John McDonnell.

Hmm well you know maybe Wetmore is ... as far as number of titles/champions then yes Mcconnell of Arkansas is.... but as far as taking good high school athletes and turning them into excellent college athletes then Wetmore beats Mcconnell or anyone else hands down! Wetmore doesn't get the near the recruiting classes as Mcconnell did in his heyday but yet cranks out national titles!!!!
sorry about spelling error I meant McDonnell
You do realize that Wetmore is nuts.

The top 7 this year and their high school achievements:
1) Amar Moussa: 4:10 and 8:49 , fourth at NXN
2) Ben Saarel: 4:02 and 8:45, won Footlocker West and fourth at the national meet.
3) Blake Theroux: 4:14, 9:13
4) Connor Winter: 4:07, 9:09
5) Pierce Murphy: 4:29, 9:14
6) Jake Hurysz: 4:06, 8:49, sixth at the Footlocker national meet
7) Adam Peterman: 4:17, 8:57, 2d at NXN Northwest Regional
Not exactly a bunch of scrubs.
McDonnell was a boss. Wetmore has similar boss qualities although McDonnell played his winning hand across all three seasons, repeatedly, for decades. Wetmore will never be able to touch that. The biggest shame about McDonnell's program is that he didn't take the time to groom a successor(s) to carry on when his time was through.

Hence why I said "NCAA XC coach" and not "NCAA distance coach."

Hey critical thinking no one said they were scrubs! but while your at at it why don't don't you go thru old Arkansas and old national high school archives and research and list McDonnell's recruits and then maybe you'll understand
Um no. Have you ever heard of John McDonnell or Vin Lannana?

The best thing to ever happen to Colorado is when these two coaches moved on.
Yes, he is.
I’m a D2 female runner. Our coach explicitly told us not to visit LetsRun forums.
Great interview with Steve Cram - says Jakob has no chance of WRs this year
