It seems like a miracle that they can actually grow an entire articular surface from stem cells to basically cure osteoarthritis. This would be like a holy grail to me if it could make me active again. I bought the guy's book, and he says that the biggest barrier to making biological joint replacements available to the public is FDA regulations whose classification system doesn't clearly place them in any category of product and would require many years of time huge amounts of capital to undergo clinical trials when there is almost no conceivable downside to using them. Really angering.
