What percentage cheer for team Euro?
What percentage cheer for team Euro?
I have been watching. Cheering for the American's. I would say 60% ish cheer for the Euro's. Those with British roots in Canada are still Queen lovers. I hate the stinky Euro's , little Rory , and the Bug eyed Poulter. Lee Westwood lost 30lbs and he still looks like a fat sack o shite.
It is an inherently unfair competition: one country vs an entire continent. I root for the underdog.
Considering USA police have robbed Canadian tourists of over £2.5 billion, stealing ALL their tourist cash during spurious stop and search scams, I doubt the Canadians feel any great affinity with their corrupt neighbours.
It costs more money in legal fees to try to get it back so it is a boom business for unethical lawyers to such an extent than only one in sixth people ever try to get their money back and the US cops just pocket it - to fund their pay and pensions.
Much like what happens in other bankrupt third world countries, only they tend to only take a fraction of one’s cash - not ALL of it!
The Medicine Hat Tigers. Isn't the Ryder Cup the WHL's championship trophy?
Hey, Jar Jar, at least it's not as bad as the UK where the police don't even need a search warrant to search you, your car, or your home and seize whatever they want. Talk about third world countries.
Always, always cheer for Europe. Their golfers are better spoken, sharper dressers, generally nicer, and have a much, much less sense of entitlement than the Yanks.

Probably a smaller percentage than Americans who cheer for European teams in all sports. The US has a weird sense of nationalism with international sports. During the World Cup for example, everyone with a little bit of Italian heritage suddenly become team Italy's biggest fans. It's strange.
Listening to the European fans chanting "Olé Olé Olé", it's pretty obvious who Canada is rooting for.

In all history, a British policeman has never solicited a bribe or blatantly stole any money from an American tourist.
The Canadian government had to warn Canadian tourists visiting the USA, not to carry cash in any quantity.
Small correction - it is $2.5 billion illegally confiscated, not £2.5 billion sterling.

I'm Canadian and I've had way more hassle with the Canadian ferales at the border trying to bring stuff back. who gets nailed bringing stuff INTO the states unless it's drugs? Stuff is more expensive here.
I cheered for the USA. I like most of the Euro team but not impressed by the sportsmanship of some of them, like Jose Marie after he didn't give tiger the putt two years ago even though they had won. Not like Nicklaus.
No they didn't. One Canadian media outlet had a sensationalist story on it, but no where did they officially warn about confiscations.
Of course, common sense says you don't travel with lots of valuables on you and they said that. Is that not obvious? Do you go to Spain and wave your Leica $9000 camera or Nikon D800E around? No, you don't.
End of story. go comment on another thread where this was discussed.
Stay on topic please. This is about the Ryder cup.

Actually that is exactly what happened on two different occasions to members of my family. So suck it.
Isn't it about time Ryder Cup went Continent VS Continent - Europe VS the Americas?
Ryder Cup converted from England VS USA to Europe VS USA....so there is precedent.
The Euros have no class when it comes to golf. I hope they lose every ryher cup from here on out.
ps Sergio chumpcia is a crybaby.
