When Kate bashed sexism at Duke - http://www.letsrun.com/forum/flat_read.php?thread=5512021 - I was all on board as it was a university. Universities shouldn't be having women aspiring to be 'pimps and hoes'. Plus we all know those rich boys at duke are douches. But now she's slamming TomTom for their new ad with the super model Alexandria Morgan in it.

@TomTom your new "strapless" commercial is lazy & insulting. Yet another company using the female body in a hypersexualized way to sell...
@TomTom...a product that has nothing to do with sex. From a female pro runner who has spent her career countering this crap: shame on you.
All I can say is as a male, even a very liberal one, I think the ad is amazing. Watch it for yourself.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Ur0qPdMhragYes the ad puts a fit big breasted woman on a pedestal, but so what? My body is attracted to Ms. Morgan.
I don't understand what is unenlightened about celebrating a really good looking woman in the marketplace.
It's not much different than celebrating a really funny comedian, author, etc. Yes, one could argue she was born good looking but authors are born smart, quarterbacks born talented.
A true intellectual should be for the ad. Do intellecutals not want us to celebrate greatness?
Greatness in any sphere is worth watching. The 3rd string quarterback is not. In ads, I want to see the first-stringers not average looking joes. Same thing when I go to a broadway show, buy a book, etc.
What do you think?
