Only celebrity (if you can call her that) death I can think of that I mourned was Lhasa de Sela. That one was pretty sad.
Jerry Seinfeld, Louis C.K., Snoop Dogg, Bekele, Rupp, Daniel Tosh, Robert Plant, David Gilmour, Jim Carrey, Will Ferrell
Christopher Hitchens hurt me more than any other. Didn't see that coming.
Would have been Paris Hilton, but she got really old.
Yeah mostly just my favorite music artists, the ones I really love and feel a strong connection to their music, and some of whom I've met. Really there's only a few artists that fall into that category for me and they're all still kicking, but I imagine it'll feel pretty crappy if one passes.
My father.
He's a celebrity to me and my hero.
As for any other celebrity, I don't really care. Them being alive or dead has no bearing on my life. They don't know me. I don't know them.
glass half filled,
Agree about Hitchens.
A terrible loss. His last columns in Vanity Fair should be required reading for all humankind. An extraordinary talent and greatly missed.
I guess someone who is young and entertains a wide range of people and is currently working a lot.
You get affected because something gets taken away from you, the entertainment they provide and it would affect you more if it sent shock waves to a greater number of people.
And you feel like you know them even if you personally don't.
I think a sudden death of Justin Timberlake would affect quite a few people and would completely take over the news.
No celebrity death has affected me. I've never once thought "I wish XX was still alive" about a celebrity. Social media has led people to jump on bandwagons and grieve the deaths of people they don't really care that much about.
In regards specifically to actors/musicians/comedians/artists.. the work they produced doesn't disappear when they die so it's not missed, and new talent always comes around anyway.

Pretty sure that when James Dean, Marilyn Monroe and Elvis died large groups of people grieved without being lead by social media.
Mine would definitely be Morgan Freeman, he is one of the great actors and that would really bum me out. However I have noticed that the passing of Robin Williams has also bummed me out quite a bit.
He has been a joy to have. He's quite a squealer and keeps yelling "I didn't believe this place existed." My minions find this funny.

Are the moderators fukking kidding me? They really deleted my list of deaths that would affect me? That actually pisses me off. I'm done with this website.

Does Paulo know how to find you?
I'm usually the most bummed when celebrities who are good people die or people with insane talent die.
I was bummed when these people died:
Fred Rogers
Johnny Carson
Bill Hicks
Robin Williams
In the future, if they die before I do, I will be sad when these people die:
Jimmy Carter
Steven Tyler
Elton John
Prince
Jimmy Fallon (though he's younger than me and will likely outlive me)
Bill Gates
Warren Buffett
