Why on earth does the Obama crew not admit to how many Americans were killed in the Russian attack ?

Yeah, the whole thing is very weird. Early after the crash there were reports of 20 something Americans on board, but the government isn't revealing anything. So now the news channels are reporting citizens of each country except for the "unknown" category which undoubtedly consists of the U.S. citizens.
I think it is weird and it is bizarre how the news networks are not pressing the administration to give us the information. Not who but how many.
I'll get back to you after my next fundraiser. --Obama
I hope it isn't so Obama can say he didn't know Americans were on board so he went to the fundraiser. Other outlets are saying who from other countries and how many. Why won't the media press ?
Why do you need to know how many died immediately? What difference does it make?
Why do you use the word "admit" instead of "inform"?
They don't want war with Russia. The Bush/Rove neocons would go bananas. Putin can be tamed if we and the EU get serious about refusing to allow the Russian rich to participate in our markets, including Wall Street. And we need to keep in mind that Ukraine has never been a democracy. Obama, Kerry and Clinton know this. What would we do if Quebec seceded and skirmished with Canada over who controls a slender section of the St. Lawrence? The geopolitically correct answer is nothing.

I've heard that line somewhere else.
They wait to give the number until the State Department has informed all of the families. If you read or listen to any real news sources, they've made that pretty clear.

It is now know to be a Russian attack?
While covering the ongoing exchange of bombardments between the Palestinians in Gaza and Israel, CNN reporter Diana Magnay was nearly left at a loss for words when the latest explosion from a guided missile caused Israelis watching to erupt into cheers.
The Israelis, perched on a hill near the edge of Gaza to get the best view, sat talking through the night and paused to clap and yell whenever a missile found its target. Of course, those “targets” were human beings, often times civilians, but that did little to bring down the jubilant mood.
After Magnay finished her report with professional disinterest, she took to her twitter account to explain the disgusting scene she had been privy to.
"Israelis on hill above Sderot cheer as bombs land on #Gaza threaten to 'destroy our car if I say a word wrong'. Scum".
Unfortunately even in cases of such as these, any reporter who has the courage to speak out or question the absolute moral correctness of what Israel is doing in Gaza is immediately assailed with threats, outrage and censorship. Whether instructed to or just coerced, Magnay deleted the tweet less than an hour later.
Other reporters have complained about similar challenges to their objectivity based on their reporting.
This isn’t even the first time today in which a reporter was made to shut up when conveying inconvenient truths about the situation on the ground in Gaza. After veteran reporter Ayman Mohyeldin witnessed the deaths of four small children from an Israeli airstrike yesterday and reported it in heartrending fashion (seriously, Pulitzer anyone?), NBC News pulled him out and replaced him with another correspondent and a different American producer who has never been to Gaza and doesn’t speak Arabic.
Had enough of Israel and their influence on our American politicians yet Boys? If not yet, when?

Well?
Obama has learned from Benghazi. Hold back on details until you are sure, otherwise the right-wing media will latch onto any and all discrepancies and try to create controversy.
So every other nation knows who and how many have died yet in the US we are not even told IF any have died ? And it's the right wing fault ?
You Obama groupies are nuts.
Yep. If they say it was 19 and it ends up 20, there will be a demand for a Congressional investigation and calls for impeachment. That's how the Republicans works now. It's a sad day in America.
This is an insult to our so called free nation. Democrat Carl Levin called it an act of war and I agree. At some point Obama needs to take his make up off and deal with this crisis like a man who was elected President.

This guy is right. Don't let that distract you from any insane conspiracy theories you want to concoct on how/why Obama caused a Malaysian jet out of the Netherlands to be shot down in Ukraine, though.
The Israeli military has destroyed el-Wafa rehabilitation hospital in the Gaza Strip, after first targeting the facility with five missiles on July 11, 2014. The Israeli military began striking the building around 8:oo pm this evening and within two hours all hospital staff and patients had evacuated the only rehabilitation center in the Gaza Strip. As they departed what remained intact from the medical center burned to the ground.
“It’s already destroyed,” said Basman Alashi, director of el-Wafa, continuing, “I don’t know how much is left of it, but we have evacuated all of our patients. We lost power, there was a fire in the building.”
Alashi spoke to me via telephone from his house in Gaza, unable to cross the Israeli shelling to reach the hospital. “I left the hospital at seven and within two hours they had bombed the hospital.” Shells hit every floor of the building, and a fire spread throughout.
Terrified patients in the corridors of the hospital to avoid attacks.
After the Israeli army began striking the hospital, Alashi and el-Wafa’s 25 nurses made desperate arrangements to relocate the last 17 patients. Many of those in el-Wafa’s care are paralyzed and are connected to oxygen support. Some of the nurses left the building to seek help, braving Israeli fire on the streets in order to track down an ambulance with an oxygen tank.
“My nurses were unable to stand on their feet because of the smoke and the heat,” said Alashi. El-Wafa’s staff managed to evacuate all of the patients to a nearby medical clinic inside of a hotel. “The ones who could stay, stayed, but the ones who lost consciousness and lost control, we moved,” he continued.
Only after the facility was under heavy fire and in the process of being abandoned did Alashi receive a phone call from the International Committee for the Red Cross (ICRC) relaying a message from the Israeli army. A women who identified herself as a delegate of the ICRC said, “the Israelis asked ‘how much time do you need to evacuate,’” said Alashi, answering “two hours.” However, within an hour when the woman called back and said the Israeli army “will halt the bombings, and not bomb the hospital any more,” the facility was already in rubble. Alashi responded, “Are you joking, are you making a mockery of me? I told her it’s too late they have already destroyed it.”
“I said that the Red Cross is cooperating with the Israelis to destroy the hospital,” Alashi continued, recounting his earlier conversation with the representative from the ICRC. “I’m going to take you, the Red Cross and the Israelis to the International Criminal Court,” he announced before hanging up the telephone.
When I spoke to Alashi his voice was dry and sunken compared to when we talked a few days ago after the facility was first hit by Israeli fire on July 11. Five missiles had knocked the hospital taking out exterior walls and causing significant damage to the fourth floor. After the assault, patients who could be cared for at home were discharged and the remaining were relocated to the first floor.
Alashi had to rush to get off of the telephone with me; he was on his way to finally check on his patients now in the safer Sahaba clinic. He concluded that Israel’s destruction of the hospital would only hurt their military goals. A devastated Alashi said:
‘The Israelis and the Red Cross have destroyed the only rehab clinic in the West Bank and Gaza. They are not solving the issues; they are creating more suicide bombers. You cannot solve issues like this at all. They are the ones creating suicide bombings, not us.’
The sick SOBs. And doing it with our tax dollars.
