Europe is a cultural sewer where low self-esteem and self-effacing conduct are considered ideal.
Your premise only holds for rural parts of the US. In NYC, LA, and any other city that isn't a backwater hellhole, lean, fit men are considered to be attractive. Sure, girls in hillbilly towns tend to like "stout" men, but if you're in a hillbilly town, you have more important things to worry about that attracting a mate (like finding a job that will allow you to move into civilization).
I think it is down to different attitudes towards food.
Europeans generally prefer quality over quantity when it comes to food. We would rather have an exquisitely cooked filet mignon with a glass of Petrus than a double Big Mac and chocolate milkshake. I have travelled to many countries and American food is the most disgustingly sweet and processed filth I have ever encountered.
American culture Is mostly garbage other than a few havens like my home (nyc)
this
because skinny americans males tend to be uptight, annoying and cynical whereas skinny european males tend to be laid back, intriguing and cool
Here is the result of this type of diet
I don't know if you could say that skinny is attractive for a male in any part of the world. Or a female.
I think that attractive is usually a body with some muscles and a butt with some shape. That goes for guys and girls. To me, skinny means flat butt.

Precisely
In both the US and 'Europe', that is to say that myriad highly diverse cultural groups that are within that continent (all of which liken each other far less than some liken America), women will probably prefer the look of a young pro-soccer player over everything else.
If we go beyond that rather universal norm, we can see that in some segments of the US, the 'bulked up' look is more popular than it might be in say, Paris, Berlin or Milan. But, that bulked up look also wouldn't fly in parts of New York, Minneapolis or Savannah either, where skinny hipsters would reign supreme. To assume that some chain-smoking, beatnik-looking hipster from Berlin shares the same preference in physiques as some red-necky farmer in the mountains of Norway (or France for that matter) would be mistaken.

I completely agree with this. Trashy girls like meatheads. Skinny guys end up with the smartest and best looking women.
I love Petrus!
can't seem to find it here in the states though:-(

It is almost sacrilege for me to admit this, but some Californian cabarnet savignons are comparable to a Bordeaux. I generally detest New World wines (it pains me that my wife always insists on Penfolds Grange) but I would be happy to compliment a beef dish with something of quality from Napa valley. They are not as subtle but the complexity and depth of flavor is almost on par. I would definitely have it decanted and hide the bottle to avoid embarrassment though.
Americans are fatter.
One word, football. Biggest sport in pretty much any country you go to, the version you find in America is very different than everywhere else. Gives people a body type to strive towards.
Lot of sour grapes in this thread, fellas. I think your initial assessment may be off. I was in the Netherlands at a bar and the women were going crazy for a bodybuilder type guy from Sweden who was wearing a t-shirt. The typically European feminine-chic men were getting no attention. I think women everywhere want a physically powerful man.

If you have really really deep pockets and want to drink some vintage Petrus PM me on tracktalk.net I have access to a small cache of 750s from 1992s and 1993s and some other vintages mostly in magnums.
My finders fee is a seat at the table.
If the idea of buying a bottle that breaks down to at minimum $US2000-2200 a glass works for you we can make it happen.
oops make that 1994 not '93
Because American women are so fat that they're intimidated and exposed as sloths by guys that weigh less than them.
