I am going to be a Junior in college and run at a d2 school. My body cannot handle 75-80 MPW without overtraining or getting injured. Would this summer training schedule make me extremely fit and stay healthy and fresh for the XC season?
Mon:Run
Tue:Run+Core+pullups
Wed:Run+1 mile swim
Thur:Run+Core+Pullups
Fri:Run+1 mile Swim
Sat:Run
Sun:Run/cross training- biking
Plan to peak at 60MPW...I know that is pretty low for a college runner but will the swimming and biking help?
