This sucks . I thought 100 seconds was possible with him .
That is really sad to hear, but you know it has to be rough coming back from the severe injury he had, especially in Kenya. It would have been a miracle if he ever got back to old form.
So young
He peaked and left his mark on athletics. He was a great one.
do they have april fools in kenya?

it was..he did it
Wow. He definitely raised the bar a few notches for the 800. I can only think he made enough money in his short career to last a life time in Kenya.
Sad.
Rudisha's one of the most impressive athletes ever. Watching him race was a thing of beauty.
Just one month ago:
"Iam happy to announce that i have resume back slowly into my training routine, and i would like to thank all my family, coach, colleagues, friends and my wonderful fans for support that they have been giving me, may you all be bless abundantly."

Still is very sudden and surprising news.
I wonder how much Aman paid him.

imo the single greatest running race of all time, regardless of the fact that it happened fairly recently
The London men's 800m final was an amazing race to watch. Gives me chills just thinking about in. And don't get me wrong; I know Rudisha has been around a bit and his tactics seem to always be the same and he's very tough. However, this sudden turnaround, in my opinion, has me asking questions. He just recently stated he is healthy again, then the next moment retires. Is he sitting on his pile of wealth in Kenya set for life and has accomplished all he wants? Is he injured and frustrated and just defeated? Or are the new round of drug tests doing their job? I just think there's more to this than meets the eye.
so far that link is the only story about this.
Its a joke. Stop
I've read enough of the standard to not put a huge amount of credibility behind their report. Will await confirmation of other sources.
It's nowhere on the front page of the Standard or other Kenya news sites. This would be a big deal in Kenya. Its all an early april fools joke
Word on the street is that Rudisha was fed up with the international WADA controls popping up everywhere. It was getting more and more difficult. At some point, stuff like this happens. Is this really what we want?
We should leave the runners alone and let them train.

Congratulations on being the first d1ck to bring up drugs.
I’m a D2 female runner. Our coach explicitly told us not to visit LetsRun forums.
