I'm going to be in Seattle for some temp work and it would be best just to sleep in my car for the duration if possible. Where would be a safe area?

The QFC in U Village (http://www.uvillage.com/map/) is open 24 hrs a day, so you can park in their lot and sleep overnight.
If you want something closer to downtown, then go up Yesler and park in the rundown projects near Harborview. Free parking 6 p.m. - 7 a.m.
Never been to Seattle but it really isn't that dangerous to sleep in your car. Just make sure you have all the doors locked, and maybe a flashlight and something to hit an attacker with. Or pepper spray. It's just a precaution as you should be fine. Most likely people to harass you are the police. I also recommend going to a gym or pool to at least get a shower in. It's worth it.
Pepper spray to spray in the tiny confined spaces of a car interior? I'm gonna give you a sec to rethink that one and not come off like such a noob
Any residential street in tony Madison Park. Nice running in the Arboretum and lake Washington, and plenty of cafes around.
Snoqualmie Ridge
I slept in my car once in a park and ride lot in Richmond, just north of Seattle. Seemed quite safe to me.
microsoft offices ............
Marina lot out in Ballard.
On the inside.

Drive across the bridge into Bellevue. You will be the poorest person there.
Why not just got up our boy Jamin. I'm sure he has a couch to crash on.
No matter what you do you'll be sleepless there...

Either that or park far away from wherever jamin drives, he likes to drink and drive, and you don't want him running into you while you're trying to sleep.
You can also pick up some company on the strip around Sea-Tac.
I work in Bellevue...i could park anywhere on the streets and sleep soundly.
Outside of Jamin's mansion.
