cool
I couldn't be happier for him. Last chance saloon maybe but what a chance!
I had forgotten about the announcement until I woke up and read my twitter feed. Awesome.
Hopefully this opens a floodgate of American runners that will want to work with Coach Canova.
should be good for both guys. But let's not expect much from Hall in 2013 - he was hurt for much of 2012, so it will take him a good year to get fast again. probably a fall marathon in 2:10 would be a great result. Then a peak race at boston 2014.
Wasn't Fernando Cabada coached by Canova for some time?
Most intriguing! Should be a fun journey. Will he spend time in kenya training with Canova's other athletes?
This has actually been in the works for a few months. Heard from a source close to Canova back in October
Awesome, within a week Renato will have Ryan convinced that his 2:04:58 downhill w/ a tailwind would actually have been a sub 2:02:00 if run uphill into a headwind.
This will be fun as shit to wacth

What's up with the hate man? Angry that your genes only got you to a 3:20 or something.
Or, just straight intolerance for anyone that doesn't think like you?
Either way, it really seems like a miserable existance.
I'm stoked for the guy! I'll always be a Ryan Hall fan and hope for the best.

I'm wondering, though, how long Hall will stick with Renato's training after he already bailed on Mahon.
Tell me a sport where athletes don't go through coaching changes?
A marathoner of Hall's caliber would not race a marathon unless he thought he was fit enough to run a much faster time than 2:10.
If he needs to get back in shape he can race shorter distances as he builds up his mileage.
This is great news. We'll see what happens. It will be entertaining to watch to see how Hall does.
I think it will be good move for both of them.
He might be getting a little bit past prime here but he still has the potential to pop a couple of more.

And his solution is an Italian Coach?
Maybe Webb should be the next one to also switch.
