THE BEAST STRIKES AGAIN
Twas (+0.5) It was quick, period. Dix and Gay might be scared witless at the prospect of running against the two Jamaicans this year.
Bolt ought to be scared too.. That's a better run on a slower track.
Are you guys still expecting something from Tyson Gay? The man basically said that he is expecting to be on the Olympic podium although he wont be participating in any track meets before the US trials.
I have little if any expectations for Gay.. but as for Bolt being scared, I'm not too sure about that. Blake gunned it from the gun whereas Bolt had an awful race and never hit 100%

I agree 100%....the time has been adjusted to 9.84
i HAVE to ask this: what are the odds Blake and Bolt are NOT juicing?
seriously...the two fastest dudes in the world by a lot happen to train together in one of smallest countries in western hemisphere?
not accusing..just asking (can actually ask on these boards as opposed to the dictatorship regime of TFN)
Well the way things usually work is that if one in the camp is juicing and not getting caught then there are likely others in the camp not getting caught.
That said, I'm of the view that if Bolt was juicing and hasn't been caught yet.
1. He is unlikely ever to get caught.
2. He's on the same stuff everyone else not getting caught is on. (Lemaitre 19.8?! Dix 19.5?!)
3. He's on something noone else knows about (the most unlikely of options)
That said both Bolt and Blake were VERY promising (and in Bolt's case just a monster) youngsters before training together and/or with Mills.

I HAVE A FEW STATEMENTS TO MAKE ABOUT THE JAMAICAN JUICING ACCUSATIONS.................STOP....JUST....STOP.
IF WE ARE NOT GOING TO INCLUDED THE AMERICANS IN THE CONVERSATION ABOUT JUICING PLEASE DO NOT MENTION IT.
I HAVE EXPOSED THEIR LIES ON NUMEROUS OCCASIONS; RIGHT HERE ON THIS BOARD, SO PLEASE JUST BUZZ OFF.
THE USA HISTORY OF DOPING IS HORRENDOUS....THEY BEAT OUT THE CHINESE, THE RUSSIANS AND EVEN THE EAST GERMANS COMBINED.
THE LAST THING I AM GOING TO POINT OUT IS THE TYSON GAY B.S. OF HIM BEING 100% CLEAN. HE WANTS ME AND THE WORLD TO BELIEVE THAT HE RAN 9.71 AND 9.69 WITH A SEVERE ALMOST CAREER ENDING HAMSTRING/GROIN MUSCLE INJURY.
IF ANYBODY BELIEVE THIS WELL THOUGHT OUT STORY, IT EXPLAINS HOW AND WHY THE USA HAVE BEEN ABLE TO LIE AND CHEAT THEIR WAY TO OLYMPIC GLORY.
TYSON GAY WAS NEVER INJURED, AND IF HE WAS, JUICING PUSHED HIM TO THOSE EXTRA-ORDINARY 100M TIMES.
a valid analogy: I come from a country (uruguay) with only 3 million people but more silverware in soccer than Brazil or any other country around (google for it of don't believe). There is one thing that is always underestimated: THE CULTURE OF THE SPORT. Jamaica is the most track-crazy nation on earth, just as East Africans, or Japanese for that matter, are for long distance running so they punch WAY ABOVE their weight if you look at the cold numbers of inhabitants/resources/etc... That you live in a country that feels and breaths and lives for your sport really maximizes the chances that you will succeed.
That Bold & Blake coincide in the same moment of time and place in the history of humankind, is it too much of a coincidence? Well, I don't know... perhaps in the last two hundred years there were 389 as talented Jamaicans but they are the only two that found the right conditions to develop to where they are... Jamaica has only been independent for 50 or 60 years I think... probably the resources for training top talent are also around for even less than that. The guys are for sure in the tail of the distribution, but maybe in 50 years we'll realize they were not so amazing as we now believe them to be?

Jamaica has a much worst history of doping than the U.S.; on a per capita basis, the USA would have to have about 20 dopers for every one Jamaican. Cheating is not culturaly an American thing, the dopers have been individuals or groups connected by a coach or agent. In fact, remove the word Trevor Graham (a Jamaican) from the U.S. lexicon and the majority of our high profile dopers go away.
With that said, I don't think Bolt and Blake are doping anymore than I think Gay and Dix are. However, please note that Gay voluntarily joined a program several years ago called "Test Me I'm Clean", where he was subjected to a much more stricter testing regime. When is the last time a doper said please test me more. Btw, the Jamaican sprint success is a statistical anomoly to an exponentionaly high degree. There was a German statistician several years who said the ’08 and ’09 Jamaican women sprint success was equal to the Chinese women of the mid-90s. In 2007, Shelly Ann Fraser was a 11.3x 100m sprinter, in 2008; she runs 10.7x and wins the Olympic gold medal. That is a greater improvement than FloJo in one year, yet FloJo does not get one once of benefit of doubt from Jamaicans. During the same time period, in 2008, Melaine Walker ran the 400m hurdles in about same time as her 400m flat time from the previous year and wins the Olympic gold medal. (That’s kind of freaky, don’t you think?)I can name several more, but you get the point. Except for VCB, all of the Jamaican ladies ran incredible PRs in ‘08/’09, which they have not been able to replicate. What happened at the end of 2009, WADA/IAAF 'forced' JAA to implement a creditable anti-doping program.
None of this means the Jamaican sprinters are doping any more or any less than anyone else, but you have to be very careful when you throw stones while living in a glass house.
The per capita argument is utter bullshit, you know it, I know it and everyone with a modicum of common sense.
The average Jamaican athlete runs track, the average American athlete is split between football & basketball among others when they display even a modicum of athletic talent. So don't give that half assed argument. PLEASE
Give the Jamaicans crap but fail to look at Christophe Lemaitre's coming to the fore. Dix's return the top of world rankings, Jeter's continued dominance in spite of her age and the myriad others that could be mentioned. Flo-Jo went from 11.1 to 10.5 and gets the benefit of the doubt from NOONE.
Does anyone know what the wind was?
The way I see it, with Bolt's 9.82, it's Bolt 1, Blake 0.
Carmelita Jeter ran 11.04. What's up with Padgett way back?

off course they are doping ,
an absolute fool if say otherwise.
no level of interest or numbers participating
can explain the times
being able to peak whenever and run times like this
on multiple occasions .
especilly the increase in speed endurance .
that all started with powell and now theses two.
and if look further at number of elite sprinters
emerging from even smaller carribean islands ,tells you
that something is up.
olympics should be interesting ,if say to each other
that winner takes all , or do like previous worlds
you take 100 and i will have the 200 .
dope to the gills
Sure, because your country always win the World Cup.
Oh, wait! last time was 1950!!

I'd think they'd be relieved. Usually they have to run against 3 Jamaicans at international championships.
Its all about them yams.

seriously, the three fastest white american 5000 meter runners of all time all train in the same area in the northwest and all got fast within a year of each other. Oh, and guess what, the best of them all will probably surpass these three this year and he also trains in the same tiny area in the northwest.

haha. Its all about running intervals at a faster pace.
