I'm disgusted by wasteful government spending, but do believe that supporting PBS and NPR are good uses of money. Much better than many things we spend on, anyway.
All other news sources have become mostly entertainment. Doing anything and everything to attract viewers/listeners in order to keep the advertising dollars flowing. Of course public broadcasting has to attract an audience as well, but it is far less commercialized. (How many commercials do you see during the News Hour?)
PBS and NPR are less biased than any other national news source out there. The fox news idiots will yell and scream about the firing of Juan Williams, but I hope they all notice that the exec who was in charge of that resigned after an internal review.
