ethnicity, gender, political ideology, locality, sport, interests, sexual orientation, age, marital status, employment, class, etc.?
In other words, what is it that defines you? Or are you someone who refuses to be categorized?

Also, I should ask, why?
I guess I would have to say class. I have been going to private schools for 10+ years. How can I avoid being most strongly aligned with those of a similar social class. I can't think of many friends of mine who aren't private school educated. Its just the way I was raised.
I must say I identify with Christianity the most as it is the most important part of my life. Second would be my German heritage. I never really understood people who refuse to be categorized, but I do stress that just because I CAN be labeled as such, does not mean I will always "fit the bill" so to speak. I have my own identity, and that is not controlled by what groups I belong to, although I am proud to be a member of said group. I am proud of it because my family has a long history along those lines, and we are a very unique family. Although Christianity is not 100% prevalent in my family, it is something we try to keep as a common theme. I was not born and raised Christian, I chose that path as a result of my own thought and reflection. I am proud to say this because my family does not fit the description of many atheists claiming that Christianity is a manufactured worldview. To me, it is the only worldview, yet it has often been perverted. So, in essence, I can't really be defined, but I do recognize my background and I still cling to the fact that I am my own person and not a result of any guidelines that made me who I am.
The self is an illusion! Don't let Mara the Tempter fool you with such meaningless phantoms as ethnicity, gender, political ideology, locality, sport, interests, sexual orientation, age, marital status, employment, class, etc.!
I'd just identify myself as American. I'm sure that whenever I'm outside of this country people are seeing me as "American as hell". It's got a lot to do with how you dress, which I'd fix if I wasn't so damned cheap.
I don't know. Its a tricky question. "Identify with" what does this mean exactly. I guess the best answer to this question is another question. Which of these strata would you most closely scrutinize when choosing a life partner. I guess I would have to say religion followed closely by class/employment/education (they are all interrelated). Heritage doesn't really matter that much to me.

Selectivity defines me.
Very driven towards certain things such as academics, sports, job prospects, etc.
Very apathetic towards others such as politics, religion, etc.
White, Female, Democratic Party(left of center), Californian, Running, Politics, 18, Single, Student, Upper middle class because of parents
Homo Sapiens
Nationality (I'm from the USA). I'm not religious and I'm white. People who are super proud of being white and usually crazy.

Only thing mentioned so far that clicks for me is that my country. I can't conceive of seeing my identity as my race, which is white. That means I have to identify with hundreds I could name who range from stupid to despicable, just because they happen to share my skin tone. No thanks.
As an atheist(as I define it), neither do I identify with other atheists. The organized atheist groups I've seen are a joke. I would rather be a member of almost any church.
The only answer for me is country. Of all the things in which they tried to indoctrinate me as a child, that was the only one that stuck.
The universal ambience that is me.
I'm a male, white, heterosexual, American.
In that order. If you asked me to describe myself in four words, that is what I would come up with.
I’m a D2 female runner. Our coach explicitly told us not to visit LetsRun forums.
