I like a lot of the comments, but in the program at the end, it seems like doubling up of the same types of work without adequate rest. At times 5 days in a row of speed endurance.
Even within sessions - speed endurance, followed by flat out acceleration work. Is that not flirting with injury? Surely you do the max stuff first in a workout?
I used the Hart method with high school athletes for years with less then stellar results. Once I started to think for myself, results improved.
Contrary to what Hart says, there is no science behind what he does. In fact science says quite the opposite. I heard him speak on one occasion and his response to the question about when his athletes were allowed to recover was, "in the 22 hours between workouts." That was when I knew that his method was deeply flawed.
Like you said, his program is nothing but speed/special endurance with little work on either speed or aerobic endurance. There are far better, more advanced and reasoned program out there.
