No he didn't. Typical. Som said he didn't know what happened, that all of a sudden Kaki slowed down and that was it. The PC brainwashing is pathetic. Kaki did in fact clip himself.

That said, the two tripped guys should be in one lane together. Not fair to Symmonds etc to have to share a lane.

If you have ever been unfortunate enough to be tripped up in a race before, you will know it takes only the slightest touch to severely mess things up. There is no way a camera view or any camera view could pick up a slight touch. What it does pick up is Som backing up like he's trying to avoid Kaki a split second before Kaki goes down.

Looking at the way Kaki went down there is no way he did that on his own undertaking - no way.

Look, I don't even like Kaki but he's not to blame here. Lewandowski has a fair claim to the final, but I also think if anyone else should have gone through it was Kaki and not Som

Som should not be in the final. Period. He DNF'd. He should have at least tried hard like the Polish fellow in the same heat and Abdosh in the 5K. Pretty much he ran 300 meters, quit, and got in the final.

The replay showed that Kaki's right foot clipped the back of his left leg. Som didn't cause the fall.

So, the Brojos should edit their 800m semis article (where they say that it was Som's fault). More sloppy reporting.

What replay are you watching? That reply shows absolutely nothing?! How could you ever possibly tell if there was contact or not from that camera shot is beyond me.

Its almost like you are taking offence that Som is being implicated in this - but it's not like that. I wouldn't personally think that Som is an unfair racer because of that - it's not like he obviously went out of way to get rid of Kaki like Dominguez did to Burka in the womans 1500

My opinion is if you fall its tough luck and you shouldnt advance. If you are deliberately tripped which never happens then its a different story.
