Continuing the Vessey legend. And Willard, holy sh*t! What a final 50.
She was out with a sore jaw from chewing on gum.
Willard was brilliant, and patient....Vessey would have run great in that sort of race. Maybe she had to take a last minute dump.
willard just ran 1:58.80
haha, she probably missed the bus to the stadium or slept all day.
is she scheduled for any other big meets this year before worlds? i hope she can dip under 2:00 in time.
Well, she just spotted the rest of the field 45 minutes... a bold strategy, but we'll be calling her a genius if it pays off!
but seriously, does anyone know what happened? I'll be really upset if she doesn't hit the standard.

Nice run for Rowbury. Is that a PB?

Why is everybody ripping on her?
I know she could have run some races smarter, but she's a heck of a runner and shows guts in the end.
Piccione finished second again this week, in 1:58.99 this time. Last week Vessey outleaned her by .01 ftw. Ergo, Vessey would've ran 1:58.98 AT LEAST, thus qualifying for Worlds. Might've even outleaned Willard by .01 for a 1:58.79. Either way, she would've qualified for Worlds--time-wise, anyway. So there.
But anyone know why Vessey was a DNS?

Why is that funny, exactly? We'll never have to worry about you missing a scheduled race in Europe, that's for sure.
lol. she missed probably the most important meet of her season to date. pretty funny considering she was all set to run it yesterday. i can only imagine what happened to prevent her from running.
Vessey suffered an ankle injury yesterday and played it safe today. Jesus, you people can be so callous at times.
