I have looked in Iaaf biographies and found very little information about this guy. That is quite unusual for an athlete of that calibre.Does anyone have any more info e.g Who manages him,his coach,P.R's in track races etc?

DOB 1/1/1986. From the Marakwet Hills in the North Rift.
Track PRs: 13:34 5000m, 28:18 10,000m. Both set in Nairobi last summer - but he's run 27:26 for a road 10km, so obviously he can go faster in a European track 10,000m.
He finished fifth in the 10,000m at the Kenyan Olympic Trials last June, in 28:12. Also third in the same race at the 2007 Kenyan championships, in 28:11. (Yet the IAAF still lists his PR as 28:18.)
Described in 2008 as "the sensation of the national cross country season" after winning five races (Peter Njenga, IAAF). A win at the national championships would have earned him, in addition to a place on the Edinburgh WXC team, a share in a highly-prized 200,000-shilling jackpot. But he did not finish in the top 10 that day - I'm not sure what happened. (Incidentally, 200,000 Kenyan shillings converts to about $2500 US right now, and I think he read that he won $30,000 in prize money and CR bonus at San Juan.)
Interestingly, after his World's Best 10K win a couple weeks ago, he told an interviewer: "I ran faster at the 7km mark because I have a slow finish and could not risk reaching the final straight with the other guys."
"Kitwara is a member of the Adidas Team in Eldoret, under coach Richard Tendo and managed by Dutchman Dau van Enk." (Omulo Okoth of The Standard for the IAAF - this was written in December 2007, don't know if it's current.)
Great interview with Steve Cram - says Jakob has no chance of WRs this year
