this thread is a classic - happy christmas!
Bump.
Pablo Sandoval eats 200 to 300 bananas a day, in ten small meals.

Well, after reading all these posts & chuckling to myself, I got inspired (and bored) & decided to make a video of me eating 20 bananas in a sitting. I also follow the raw food diet that Atwell here follows, although I don't eat 30 bananas like he does!
This was after my run yesterday. No, this diet isn't a joke. There are a lot of people thriving on this diet & getting rid of life-long health problems in the process. Personally, I've never had more energy in my entire life!
So anyways, take it for what it's worth. I'm not really trying to argue which diet is the most optimal or trying to convert anybodies thinking. I just find it humorous that everybody here thinks eating 20 bananas is so extreme!
Enjoy my video :)

I love bananas, just got back from the store with 59 more of them.

Yohan Blake said he eats 16 a day, so I guess 20 isn't too much of a stretch.

The difference being, atwell said he ate 20-30 a meal, and ate two meals a day. So it's possible that certain days he might have eaten 60 bananas. I feel that has to be extremely unhealthy and/or impossible. But then again the obsessive lives most hardcore distance runners live are pretty unhealthy and freakish so it kind of fits together.
It's incredibly easy to eat massive amounts of bananas.
A lot of you don't realize you don't eat the bananas one by one.
You take 6-10 and blend them together in a smoothie and drink it.
I can easily eat 20 bananas in one day just by blending them up and drinking them down.

That's nuts. Long-term eating of only one or mostly one kind of food has got to lead to nutritional deficiencies and eating 20 or 30 bananas a day is not leaving much room in your diet for variety.

No one can do this.

Mental illness at its peak or 10/10 trolling.
There's a young runner in Canada who did this. Probably he same guy.
One word....idiotic

I would say that's proof that it can easily and routinely be done. I don't see why it's so shocking anyhow. All kinds(err...all kinds of fat people) of people go to Carl's Jr. everyday and down 2-3000 calorie meals as part of their normal diet. I mean, a triple Thickburger, large shake made with real ice cream, fries and a soda for the road? Just shows you how skewed our diet is that we think this is not so abnormal, but the idea of eating 20 bananas in a sitting makes your head spin.
BTW...Using Ravel's Bolero...genius!
Wait a sec... "Bolero" is very sexual music. Combining that with bananas? Um,assuming you're a male, that could be misunderstood for some kind of homosexual mating call.
