Anyone on here ever take or know someone who took fertility drugs while they were training? Care to share your experience?
I am taking Clomid, which is the easiest and most common fertility treatment, but it is hard to find information on women who take this medication and still train. I don't run really high mileage, but 50 to 60 mpw is typical. Most testimonials I find online are about women who run more like 20 mpw, and the toll it takes on your body is a lot different.
The fatigue side effect has not been proven for Clomid users, but that doesn't mean a whole lot to me. Doctors seem to be in denial about a lot of realities for women and hormones. After taking this for a few days, I was so tired all the time that I just wanted to put my head down on my desk at work and take a nap. Evenings at home are even worse, and I get about ten hours of sleep at night and still wake up feeling tired. My running itself does not seem to have suffered somehow. I am wondering if that is going to manifest itself later, though.
I know this might be a natural question when someone brings up running and fertility drugs, but I have a mid-range body mass index and a healthy amount of body fat and no obvious fertility issues related to running.
