bump
A very good day for Alan Webb (IF he's healthy).
Will the testing be resolved by Worlds, though? And if not, what happens then? Kaouch gets to run?
Finally they are doing something.
The Moroccans seem to be stirring up quite a shit-storm these days.
"You feel that, Adil? The way the shit clings to the air? There's gonna be a shit-blizzard."
Just so everyone knows, the Frenchie that created this thread and the Frenchie who posts on TnF are not the same person.
He is suspended by the IAAF right now, which means he can't run as I understand it. Also consider that the last day for declaring team members for the World Championships is the 13th. I think you know the probability of the B not confirming, but if it clears him after Monday, what happens to his status for Osaka?
that's a damn shame. he was a fine athlete, and i hope the B sample comes out negative.
on the other hand, if he's dirty and out of osaka... well he was the only one i thought was likely to beat Webb. ALL RIGHT!!!
Sounds like Bernard Lagat's situation a couple of years ago... let's see if Kaouch has similar lawyers, politicians, and backers.
that 18 year old kenyan who won kenyan nationals looks pretty damn good right now. and so does the new bahrain guy. it will be a close race. those guys aren't lacking for speed.
I don't think he needs lawers or politicians backing him. All he needs is a clean B sample (which Lagat had)

Exactly! A great runner using drugs is caught. Now, Lagat got off because he enjoyed the PC protection those "poor" Sub-Saharan athletes enjoy as everyone makes excuses for their malfeasance. Let's see if an arab can get the same type of "aid". I doubt it, as they are the only other group besides white males it's OK to bash these days.
What? A Moroccan runner under suspicion? Once again (how many times is it now?), I'm shocked. (disinterested, apathetic yawn) Shocked, I tell you, blah, blah, blah.

Exactly.
It was Adil Kaouch, in the conservatory, with a needle.
I win!
Remember that Adil's training is Gov't backed. That means, he better come packing with results or it'll be dire consequences from the Prince. How do you follow up to the Gov't after El G's reign? You think Morocco cares for 3:5x milers???
I say the Moroccan Gov't (like the former USSR) pressured him into doping.
We assume that athletes doping voluntarily, but for all we know his family might have been held hostage if he wouldn't dope!! you never know with these crazy North African nations.
Ethio Boy wrote a list of American throwers and sprinters (and Reginald Jacobs) who were busted for drugs
You mean American throwers and sprinters have also cheated? This, too, is unexpected, scandalous news (long pause of suppressed laughter) ... BAHHH-Ha-Ha-Ha-Ha!

Pressured? They're funding the whole racket. Think DDR.

Who do you think he is? Don Corleone?
He had science on his side.
