The last six world records in the men's marathon (and 7 of the last 9) have all been set in Berlin. We take a look back at those historic races.

She faces Gladys Chesire (30:41), World XC champ Agnes Tirop and last year's runner-up Wude Ayalew. Men's field has defending champ Mosinet Geremew, former marathon WR holder Patrick Makau and 27:36-man Edwin Kipyego.

Kenya’s Rose Chelimo won the women’s race in a new personal best of 2:24:14.

The pro fields for the 2015 Boston Marathon were announced today and previously announced Americans Meb Keflezighi and Shalane Flanagan will have their hands fulls.

The 17th annual Beach to Beacon 10k is Saturday morning in Maine and as usual the race boasts a stellar field. Defending champ Micah Kogo (26:35 track PB) will take on fellow Kenyans Bedan Karoki (26:52 on the track at Pre) and Patrick Makau (former marathon WR holder at 2:03:38), as well as 2014 Boston Marathon champ Meb Keflezighi and Maine native Ben True. On the women's side, Shalane Flanagan will attempt to become the first-ever American champ though she'll be challenged by 2:19 marathoner Aselefech Mergia, last year's runner up Gemma Steel and Jordan Hasay.

Elites include Meb Keflezighi, Ben True, Patrick Makau, Sam Chelanga, Chris Solinsky, Shalane Flanagan, Jordan Hasay, Desi Linden (Davila), Gemma Steel.
