Olympic Women's Triple Jump: Caterine Ibarguen Looks to Cap A Dominant Four Years with the One Title She Doesn't Have -- Olympic Champion
The best shot for a South American to win T&F gold in the first Olympics on South American soil comes in the women's triple jump, where there are not one, but two candidates. Ibarguen has won 36 of her 37 competitions since taking silver four years ago, while Venezuela's 20-year-old World Indoor champ Yulimar Rojas has improved markedly in 2016 and should push Ibarguen.
