Canada’s Corey Bellmore Runs New Beer Mile WR With 4:33.6
Bellemore broke his own WR during the half time of a San Francisco Deltas professional soccer game. Track and field journalist Cathal Dennehy broke the Irish national record in 4th place with 5:25.2.

UK 10K Trials Run Through A Bar: Total Unknown Jess Andrews Sets Huge 83-Second PB To Win British 10,000m Trials And Qualify For Rio; Jo Pavey And Andy Vernon Falter
There was drama and excitement at the British 10,000 Trials as in front of thousands of spectators and bar-goers, Andrews went from nobody to Olympian, beating Kenya's former World champion Linet Masai in the process. The night was less kind to 42-year-old Jo Pavey who most likely misssed out on qualifying for her 5th Olympic Games. On the men's side, Ross Millington won a close race in 28:28, but the only man in the race with the 28-flat qualifying standard was Andy Vernon who was 3rd Brit and is now at the mercy of the selectors if he wants to go to Rio.
