Third time I've had these shoes, they're perfect for normal runners without pronation.

This shoe has the right training weight and cushioning for distance training. I have low arches but gives enough room. It also gives me enough response when I am do tempo training. This is my shoe now, after the ASICS 2100 series was taken away.

I am a heavy runner and hard on shoes. Asics is a very comfortable shoe and supports my feet. I switched from a Cumulus to a Nimbus and find it more comfortable. After about 500 miles, I have noticed some material degradation of the fabrics and inside padding. On the other hand, I'm wearing them well after their exclusive running period and they continue to be comfortable. Shoes sizes run about a half-step smaller than I would expect.

Disappointing nimbus. Its durability was much worse than previous editions and weight was not improved by much. Not suited for fast, serious, and competitive runners.

I’ve ran in the nimbus for many years now, since the 14. It has always been a satisfying shoe to me, as previously I was a prominent heel striker. As I attempted to make the switch to midfoot striking, however, I felt that the shoe was almost holding me back. Its extreme weight is a detriment to the shoe and surprisingly does not help its durability - holes have appeared in the thin forefoot material in as little as 45 days. Even though this is supposedly asics’s most durable and high mileage trainer, it doesn’t work for an intense runner looking for more than a high cushion, high weight, heel striking shoe.

  • Long time wearer of the Asics nimbus, but disappointed in this version

I have worn the Asics nimbus for over 15 years, and I've never had issues breaking in the shoes until this version (19). Something about them makes my feet really uncomfortable. It feels as though they reduced the size and my toes do not have enough space. Hope they fix these issues in the next version.

Typical Asics shoe, fits well, good cushion and durable. I have 2 pairs of these that I am currently rotating between (ave. 70+ mpw, long run of 13-16), nothing fancy just a good trainer.

I like the Gel Nimbus 19 as a alternate shoe with my Kayano 24’s its a bit clunky but nice cushion. Good easy day shoe.
