Simeon Birnbaum Runs 3:37.93, #2 High School Time Ever for 1500m vs Pros at Nike Outdoor Nationals
By LetsRun.comSimeon Birnbaum, the high school senior from Rapid City, South Dakota, is having quite the week.
Two days after he ran 8:34.10 for 2 miles at the Brooks PR meet, the second fastest time by a high schooler in the US ever, he ran 3:37.93 for 1500m to take 3rd in the professional race at the Nike Outdoor Nationals, which also is the second fastest time by a US high schooler. And his week is not over as Sunday he comes back to race in the high school only mile at NON which is the deepest high school mile field ever assembled.
