There is no direct evidence that would ever show that Rupp took anything or tried to take anything.
There is plenty of evidence that he took a ton of things - the only question is if he ever took anything illegal. We know he was on some sort of testosterone supplement in HS. Alberto has admitted to that. We know he was sent prescription drugs in a hollowed out book. L-Carnitine, etc.[/quote]
Serious question, how does he get away with it?
Unless its a packed city, quarantine'ing healthy people is idiotic. Just lowering everyones immune system so when they go back out they will be more likely to get something worse.

Do you think it could be because of the decade of abuse that he experienced at the hands of the Brojos and their LRC faithful minions?
New here... this happen?
Galen Rupp is the most abused runner in LRC history. Rojo had to install a filter banning posts that had the words gay and rupp
i want to see an instagram post of a mustachioed galen rupp with a backwards trucker hat doing some afternoon yoga with jordan hasay so everyone can go home happy.
Galen posts when he's got something to say with his heart and soul. It's called Olympic medals, American records and major race wins.

Good for him. A class act. Always makes himself available for photos. Never big-times people.
Showed the world how fit he is at the OT's. Class act.

Not true. While we certainly could have done better, we did institute reforms after both Vin Lananna and Alberto Salazar complaind to Weldon at an NCAA indoor meet about Rupp being bashed on the boards. Our view at the time was that he was a public figure and people say lots of stuff about the Yankees, Tom Brady, etc. After listening to them, we took a more active roll and...
You really don't know how to spell the word "role" ? come on man.
Are YOU kidding? I'd bet the farm that he knows how to spell role and roll and each words proper use.
You've never typed something and afterwards realized that you typed the wrong word? If you haven't then, you're the best!

It isn't about what Galen needs, it is about what is best for the sport. Like it or not results matter less than public persona. If doesn't matter what a bunch of LetsRun people think about him, to help track become more popular it matters what the general public thinks about him.
My 90 year old grandma knows who Usain Bolt is, she has never heard of Galen Rupp. We need more Usain Bolts in track and field, not more Galen Rupps.
Found the control freak everyone.

I don't need to know much about his personal life. He is entitled to privacy in that respect. I would, however, like to see him talk more about his training and all of the little things. Does he drink? What's his easy pace these days? Aches and pains? Diet? Sleep? How does he manage to balance his family and the incredible physical demand of being a pro runner?
This is what I mean.
No doubt, he will co-author a book one day!

Short version, he doesn't break the rules, so he's not really "getting away" with anything.

Galen... is that you?
If anything, they encouraged it. It started when Rupp was in college- ie the Grote Poll.- needless making fun of a college kid in a very poor attempt at humor.
This is a story of the duck who didn't quack. When you become famous, either you command the headlines and mold your reputation or others will do it for you. Rupp allowed himself to look like he was under Al's absolute control, and from the start he suffered from the collateral damage. Sure, he didn't seem to let it prevent him from being a great runner, but he absolutely will not go down as an exciting runner. In running circles he will always be Ruppy, Al's little science experiment. Outside of running circles, he is not well known since he never struck gold and has not used his success to enhance his social capital (and thus fame and money). The average person who digs in a bit is likely to first find the association with Al and cheating. I respect the guy's right to privacy but in his case it has been costly - I'm sure he knows that.

Well, if I was the co-owner of the site, I'd be damn sure to spell check my posts before I posted them. Also the letter E and the letter L are not even close to each other on the keyboard, so it looks like it wasn't a simple typo, and that ole' Rojo indeed does not know the difference between roll and role and is in fact, a moran.
There is something very basically wrong with anyone who praises or admires rupp. He has been juiced his entire career. All of his medals and records are illegitimate. He is the very definition of a doping cheater. Thankfully, due to his having the personality and intelligence of a carrot, he doesn't impose his depraved lifestyle on any social media. Thanks also to nike and all other companies for recognizing his less than zero likability and not using him to advertise their products.
I see. So it's that obvious.
So, can you show us the same logic as applied to Bolt, Kipchoge, and Bekele since they, too, like Rupp, never failed a drug test?

Don't feed the troll my good man. Centro Sauce is an idiot who is jealous of Rupp's success so he posts vitriol like that.

Costly compared to what, the bubonic plague?
Dude won $80k - in one day, in one day - at the trials. $100k for breaking the american record in the 10k. Gets $300+k / year in sponsorship from Nike. Plus appearance fees. And bonuses for proving letsrun.com wrong.
His career has been the reverse of "costly."
Costly, ha!
Go to happy hour with the brojos, you filthy animal.

PS - for all of you independents out there, not knowing who to believe in times like these, with COVID and all...
This man, Rhodium Nights? A good man. A ferocious and all around good guy. He is the purveyor of truth. Trust him, NOT the brojos.
Before he or I get silenced, which may happen in these dystopian 2020 times, listen to him.
Rupp deserves to do what he wants with Social Media. Its been an honor and a privilege to watch him compete. In the name of Salazar and Galen and Phil Knight. Amen.
