The L-Carnitine thing is interesting as it's not a PED. There is no evidence that it is performance enhancing (besides anecdotal evidence and Al-Sal's religious belief in it) and is not a banned substance.
The volume rule was put into place for an entirely different reason.
To me, Salazar seems as though he is a neurotic coach with poor people skills. He is obsessed with finding every legal advantage and often turns to pseudo-science. His approach to sport seems to fly directly in the face of the ethos of fair sport and I have no problem with him being banned for stepping over the line.
What I find most annoying about this board is the casual way posters fling the word "doping" around. Putting too much fluid in your veins is not doping. To me, those accusations insinuate EPO etc. I find myself coming to the "defence" of Salazar et al. due to a kneejerk reaction out of annoyance with this widespread overreaction to the facts (led by the Brojos). Salazar and co. certainly don't deserve defending online but I find myself doing it because so many on here are so bloody annoying.
With respect to Mo, there are no more facts here about PEDs but he certainly doesn't come out looking like the most ethical person.
