Ethiopians certainly look different than other East Africans. People are so weird discussing stuff like this, but it's something so obvious. Chinese look different than the Japanese. These are things we can clearly see but you cannot discuss or someone will think you are heading into a bad direction.
They are African. It's not only west African people that are African. How absurd. In fact what is today is the Arabian peninsular should also be a part of Africa. Africa is a very diverse place. That's proof of its richness and power.

We know of war crimes committed by Italians versus citizens of Ethiopia in 1930s & 1940s. I doubt it can be simply explained by white Europeans raping Ethiopian women. Ethiopians have lived at 8000 feet plus elevation longer than any black Africans living in said environment. I am more apt to believe the citizens of Ethiopia have gone through gene mutations living at 8000 plus feet elevation for an extended period. There have been studies demonstrating that no one was white skinned and no one had blue eyes in European (except Albinos) for more than 5500 to 6000 years. White skin in Europe is a recessive trait due to lack of vitamin D due to inferior sunlight north of 45 latitude N.
