You missed my point. Anyway, which golf course was it? I've never seen anyone running on the golf courses anywhere in the lower mainland, private or public.

I love it, when the golf course gets cleared out from hobby joggers.
So I can do my sprints on the greens without getting disturbed.

No the country club types just got scammed into that "Golf Club" thing to pretend they have class.
We used to run on the local golf course all the time in high school. It was right across the highway from the state park. Running the trails, crossing the highway and running the perimeter of the golf course was about 5 miles. In the summer we would go out in the evening and and play all the golf we could from 6 pm until dark for like $5.
The course got sold last year and is getting turned into a campground. Other courses in the area are being turned back into farms.

It would be better if golf courses were turned into parks, but farms are ok. Golf courses are a terrible use of land unless they can double as somewhere for the public to walk and run early in the am and in the evening.
Why don’t you buy the golf coarse and turn it to a park ? You seem to want others to do this for you like Bernie .

Mow you Coarse. Your greens must be several feet tall, and sadly mostly weeds.

I could care less about golf courses, but I wish they would write tickets to the hundreds of hobby joggers that show up at the trailhead near my house every weekend and park in the no parking area instead of walking an extra 100 feet and parking in the designated area along the street. Presumably they are going to the trail to walk or run. Does it really matter how close they park? Maybe I'll call the police too.
COULDN’T care less, sh1t for brains

This. Queen Elizabeth pitch and putt course, I have lots of sympathy; ubc golf course, some sympathy; shaughnessy golf course, what on earth did you expect.

When I was young man I used to run across a golf course every night. It's nice and low impact on the joints and there are a bunch of holes on the greens that are perfect for ridding one's self of excess urea. Think about that the next time you reach in for your ball.

I agree that they're a terrible use of space, and limited to only a few people who can use them.
