30 minutes till race time!
15 minutes to go, Sam Chelanga is in the field so that could be an interesting factor. He PRd in 2018 with a 60 flat.

*60:37. While I don’t think Sam will give Galen too much trouble (assuming this is an all-put effort for Rupp), I am glad he is in the field. Due to the downhill nature of the course it may be hard to gauge what the time really means after. However, with Sam as a reference point, it should be a bit easier. He ran 1:01:52 in Houston, roughly 15 seconds behind the top American men.
Galen is lucky to run 62 on a fast course.

Don’t be a dunce. He came through halfway in Chicago at 62:57 and is now much further removed from his surgery.

Both Rupp and Chelanga have started
just here for support the thread
Unofficially Galen Rupp ahead of Sam Chelanga at the mile. No times available as of now
The updates will be rough until 6.9 miles, right now the tracker has him at just over a mile but on 8:39 minutes per mile pace. Obviously not reliable

Bummer! Just so we know what to look for, 60:00 is roughly 31:36 for 6.9 miles.
Still no times available, Galen is currently just ahead of Chelanga
After two miles, Rupp appears to be a 0.1 mile ahead of Chelanga.
Through 5k Galen still leading
