Many treadmills, including the one I have access to, cannot reach sub 4 min mile pace. However, one could use incline and a calculator such as the following to find an 'equivalent'.

For example, for me it could be 20 km/h at 5% incline.
Anybody done a 'sub 4 minute mile' in this way? Anybody who has done it both in this way and on a track, and can compare?
For me the pace-with-incline is definitely easier on the treadmill than the pace on the track, to the extent that I think I might be able to do a 'sub 4 min mile equivalent' with some more training. Not sure whether this means that I have the metabolic capacity but lack leg turnover, or whether it is common.
