It’s hard to judge development based on PR’s. Much of it depends on where the kids start from. Look at some of the other top programs who have a bunch of transfers who were already fast or programs where they have really fast incoming classes. They may have faster times, but that doesn’t mean the coach developed talent better than a team with slower PR’s. I saw in a previous thread that Newbury Park has something like 10 or 15 boys that were really fast and had substantial youth running backgrounds before they got to high school. Does that mean they developed the talent better than a team who didn’t have the same incoming talent because their times are faster? Impossible to tell. I would think that having 200 boys on a team would be a more consistent and sustainable way to have competitive teams than counting on incoming talent.
