What about the development of a magic kick later in a career (after years of training already as a professional)? What about a 5/10k man running faster than Coe and Cram? Where do you sit with that "magic" transformation?

So they just run for Ireland as the standard in Ireland is much lower than GB? Who is the best Irish marathon runner?
possibly, but many would rather be Irish.
Rory McIlroy played golf for Ireland. I am sure he'd get a GB gernsey
Hey, at least the Brits are catching their dopers. Not like America with Bernard “B-sample” Lagat.

Sure...they're catching them all, right? What about the ones getting protection? ($$$).
Don't you find it perplexing that some of the big dogs have gotten busted in 3rd world countries (e.g, Kenya, Morocco, Ethiopia, Bahrain, etc.) but never from the UK or USA?

I have no idea. I just know he ain't running a 5 min PB (clean), an Olympic Qualifier (clean), and the fastet time by an Irishmanin 30+ years (clean), after having a stress fracture on September 9th, especially as he has a proven record over many years (as you stated) of failing in the marathon. After the stress fracture on September 9th, even wearing Dorothy's magic shoes, Pollock wouldn't run 2:10 (clean). You can believe he did it clean but I'd say you're one of the very few. Or maybe, he lied about the stress fracture. But I'm confident this one will come out in good time.
He could be the next Cathal Lombard
Not sure why you're asking me this one. If you're referring to Mo, I've heard from many reliable sources that he had a little 'magic' to help him.
But we're talking about Pollock and how, after being diagnosed with a stress fracture on September 9th, he metamorphosed with Ovidian magic into a 2:10 guy in Valencia, running a 5 min PB. Or maybe one of Pollock's team was the mythological healer, Dian Cécht. (To help you out here, Dian Cécht made King Nuada a silver arm.) Has anybody checked to see if Pollock has a silver metatarsal? In these times, these questions must be asked.

Yes. I got that, I read the article.
Just not really any evidence of doping given that levothyroxine isn't banned and they were prescribed the drugs by non-UKA doctors because they took a test which showed poor thyroid function.
It's a low information article written to get idiots excited (It's the Daily Mail), It clearly worked, El Keniano stuck his oar in.
Come back with some actual doping news, until then, Kenya's train load (takes more than a bus now) of positives for EPO, steroids and whatever else they can get their dirty hands on kinda trumps the evils Brits. Sorry Cleo.

Which bit sweetie? (Thought you never used fake names btw)
You've got nothing to refute me so straight in with the insults. Good stuff.
Also, I don't care about the Irish argument. That's irrelevant.

oh like marion jones? tyson gay? justin gatlin? al sal?
but know i get you, jones would have never gone down if it wasnt for BALCO investigation, she was the bolt of that time frame and nike was going to cover her no matter what...but then the investigation and she was under oath.
IAAF and nike protects american sprinters and east african distance for the sake of profit, but they are so f*cking dumb they dont know how to make a profit. when you worhsip Mo's sit and kick it is boring, people want to see high scoring fb games not 3-6 field goal borefests....people want to see fast paces with ballzy kicks not 13:40s with a 51 last lap. if your going to protect the doping then DEMAND the runners that they need to go hard from the start. they seem to be doing that in the marathon and hmmm imagine that, thats where the money is
no more rabbited races, but make the contracts that you dont get paid if you dont hit certain paces. no more top runners getting to duck each other, no more of this 2 races a yr bullsh*t. if your going to let top runners sauce hard then they need to race a lot and not duck, and no more pansy a$$ sit and kicks.

Lagat is as clean as Kerr. Keep hating.

Tyson gay? Tim Montgomery? Marion Jones? Just Gatlin? If the distance runners are doping with these results, Heaven help us.

Pollock’s Instagram profile pic is him wrapped in a tri-colour.
On his website he thanks family members named: Conor, Siobhan, Fionnuala, Oisin and Orla.
Doesn’t exactly scream unionist stock to me.
The world is changing. They need to stop testing and allow “supplementing”.
There’s nothing more annoying than the endless drug witch-hunt. Be done with it and we can enjoy sports for what it is...entertainment!

I'm sure there's an element of trollbait to this post
However of you're serious then athletics is meant to be fair competion so that will be lost anf of course may already be lost due to undetected doping

Not trolling. Any stand out performance is immediately followed by
they’re obviously doping
2thagillz
EPO-HGH-ROIDS-
Look who their coach is
Look who they with
Etc-etc-etc
Just eliminate testing. That would be the fairest move. Let everyone use online sources to obtain their supplements. Totally even playing field for everyone.
Nobody is forcing you to dope just like nobody is forcing you to train 100+ mpw, or lift weights, or run 2x a day, etc, etc.
You can sit back and complain about everyone doping or you can get on rocket fuel and still be a hobby jogger. **shocked Pickachu**
You seem to think you've dreamed up some radical solution that no-one has thought of before
The 2 major problems with your idea are
1) the playing field is uneven regardless of the doping free-for-all, Peds affect athletes in different ways
2) the athletes will literally kill themselves in the pursuit of gloryor at a minimum seriously damage their long term health with peds
And those are only off the top of my head

Wrong about that....... Not that it makes a difference if they are Unionists or not, still Irish. Unionists will be part of the new Ireland. Or are you a free state lifer.

I've heard this argument before in fact i probably said it myself, but it will only come back to best doctors then.
