"I don't think the Xers as a generation have imprinted on themselves or the country as a whole some notion or some (unique) story about themselves"
Correct, boomers have been handed every opportunity, acted as if they have earned what they have, are used to the good life with endless opportunities, won't retire and go a way, and still have the nerve to tell people to get off their lawn.
Millennials have opportunity, act like they don't have any, won't earn enough to move from mom and dad's house because of..lazy, have all the tech at their fingertips yet can't carry a conversation, can't write a coherent paragraph, can't keep on task (then pop pills for their ADHD), won't have to worry about retiring because they don't really work, and they have the nerve to complain about their life.
So yeah, Xers haven't really imprinted anything unique about ourselves. We've just managed to secure a good life for ourselves and our family, can deal with tech and analog, understand what real work is, don't cry about being depressed when we have a bad day once in a while, and have excelled despite having to at deal with these two generations we are sandwiched between.
btw, good troll lost
