Looking back at conference...what school had the best weekend in the distance events? Not necessarily points-wise, but performance based on expectations?
My rankings:
1. Carleton - Besides Mueller, who ran poorly? Wilkinson, Meilke, Lavey, Rives, and Santos all had at least 1 fantastic race plus others had SBs.
2. Concordia - Only had 6 runners but all ran season-bests. Plus a surprising 4x8 podium finish.
3. SJU - A ton of SBs and outperformed their seedings.
4. Olaf - Really solid overall with studs performing well (Lonergan/Kadrofske/Streseman)
5. Hamline - Not many runners, but all ran really well. Fern was a meet highlight.
6. UST - Lot of great runners, but not many great races.
7. Bethel - Lelinga was solid but not much else.
8. Gustavus - No top-5 performances. Stumbo and NJ disappointed, but Wicklund and Grant did alright.
9. MAC - Just 2 runners and ran what was expected.
10. Augsburg - Just Hussien and he ran poorly.
11. St. Mary's - Just Meaden and ran he even worse.
Disagree? Make your case.
