Let's not hear from someone who is just out to take money from the GOP to make them look good.
Besides that isn't the place for this.

Asking for a friend...Anyone hear any rumors on what's going to happen at Eastern Michigan with Goodridge retiring? Combine programs and make Sue Parks the director. They have been cutting teams there lately.
You mean the University of Montana? Admin seems to trust Clint May so I think he's here to stay. He just moved his fam out to mt from va where he was coaching at Southern Virginia. Seems to be having some success, but at MT anything positive rn at mt is seen as success. He built that Bozeman team that won NXN

You’re confusing being clueless with being facetious. He is astoundingly unaccomplished, but obviously well connected. Took WKU job, then left within months to go to Iona. Obviously got that job from Mick. Gets Cal job from connection to Badger alum Bobby Lockhart. Doesn’t matter, he’s got zero charisma or coaching chops, will have a mid-major head job in two years after doing nothing at Cal. Ladder climber, nothing more.
Have you been coached by him? He's has charisma.
Montana State did a similar thing hiring in house when some much more accomplished coaches applied for the head position. Montana is going to get some interest from successful D1 coaches, whether the pay is enough to move them away from their current positions or if Montana wants to go the route of hiring a whole new staff remains to be seen.
I respect hiring in house.
Life University has started interviewing candidates
Pay is 48k

If they do that, with no separate men's coach, the men's distance domination in the MAC will be over. It's probably over anyway as Goodridge was one of the best coaches in the country. If they are smart, they would go get Boaz Cheboiywo.

If they combine and Sue Parks takes the lead the men will be in great hands. She has done a great job at every stop. Hell she took Ball State women to the NCAA XC Championships. EMU is not going anywhere any time soon.
Boaz would be interesting only if he could bring in international recruits. Would assume there are many young talented coaches that would jump at the job and probably some older experienced ones. Combining is the smart move from a financial situation. Split teams are at a disadvantage and just not efficient.

Looks like they want a distance coach who has experience in the Ivy. Jason Vigilante? Brad Hunt? Alex Gibby? Juli Henner? Who else? Anyone outside the Ivy that might be a good fit even though they don't have the experience? What about Ryan Cole at Air Force? These aren't actual predictions, I'm just throwing names out there that seem to fit the profile of what they're looking for.
Ryan Van Hoy
Looks like an opening in the Lone Star Conference!
Solid, as she really coached these athletes? Why do I have my concerns that this young lady just took it to the next level when it comes to inflating her bio.

Most of those P5 distance coaches were “well connected” if they’re older when they made it to a P5 it’s because they have worked up and had success at a mid major. Guys like this never make their mark.

So, all you jealous white bro's realize one of the most liberal institutions in the world has now hired 2 young white males w/ very little actual coaching experience (riding Dave Smith's coat tails and?) and about one year's experience actually coaching women between the both of them to coach women at a P5 program. A program that has been known to draw very talented women in the past. For a group of women largely recruited to run for a woman. I'm not saying it cannot be done. I'm just saying remember this when the next clip board holding female gets hired.

Good god, everyone. You are all acting like he's the head coach at Oregon. The dude landed an assistant job to an assistant. It certainly helps that he's well connected, but this was posted as a director of ops/recruiting coordinator position originally. Let's not pretend he has some amazing position in any other avenue than in the school's name.
With that said, you cannot simply compare this to Zully, as Maverick was at two historically great xc schools and was a great runner himself. It took him coaching at Iona and Wisconsin to get this entry level position. Compare those to Zully's credentials and try to rewrite your post with a straight face. Bobby Lockhart is the cross country coach there. Maverick will not even have his own group most likely and he worked under two very well-connected coaches just to achieve this.
Anybody know if Benedictine hired a new head coach? Never saw them post the job and there are no updates on the website.
Exactly why I said it would Have been a dud hire had he been hired as THE distance coach. Certainly not someone you see as competition for future coaching gigs if you’re a D1 coach with your own program

It's funny you are complaining that white men got hired at Cal. Do you know who hired them? A black female hired them! Robyne Johnson, the Director of the program, must be racist and sexist to hire two white men. When should we start protesting in the streets?
Next you'll complain about a female who has holds a masters degree getting a low-pay assistant position who could make double the amount with an office job. We are all getting worked up over meaningless reasons.
