I did not say that I had a magic formula for expected improvement, rather it was you who said that. Please don't put words in my mouth. If you don't agree with me that in 1500 in a time period of 8 seasons 10 - 12 seconds of improvement is a realistic progression, that's fine. I'm not saying this applies to every athlete but from my coaching experience that's what I've observed. However you can argue I'm still young. (Young Coach)
you and canada may be 100% correct, he may have reached his personal limit. and so this thread may end here. However his case has always made me very curious because as far as I know he hasn't had any major injuries.
Don Sage: Well lots of you may disagree with me but I believe he is a victim of doing too much volume, too much intense sessions at a young age, when athletes do that they either get injured or reach their limits fast. That's my opinion on what has been written about his training in high school.
