This could be THE race of the championships as there are so many contenders and it should not be an African domination.
Komen looks good but will need another Kenyan to sacrifice himself to make it fast and he does not have the major championship experience of the Europeans - East, Heshko, Silva, etc.
East and Silva have shown good tactical awareness in the past. Baala was so close last time but was that his big chance - home crowd, etc. It would be great for East to medal but he needs to be in the race not hanging around at the back. Also, he may be short of races - only two so far this year.
Ramzi ran well early season last year but faded after the middle of the season. Will he do the same this year?
As for Webb - the topic of this post - this will be part of his learning curve. Apologies to his US fans, but top six would be a big result for him in his first big World level final.
