Kambundji!!
Redemption for not being in the 100m final, excellent.

Also for the bad luck going home with 3 4th places from last year's euro CS. But it is a strange WC if it's easier to medal than in the Euros... the 200m was really gutted by all those women injured or cancelling.

Yes, but she was legitimately better than anybody out injured, like Schippers.
How about men’s 200m—no CC, no Gatlin, no CL, no Norman, no WVN.
A very interesting distance, the 200m.
It has to be the most depleted field by a wide margin, right?
No Miller-Uibo, Fraser-Pryce, Thompson, Ta Lou, Ahore, Schippers, or Sha’Carri Richardson. I’m curious to see who will contest the 200 next year.
Quentin Bigot takes hammer silver - on pure hate
Based on slow sprint times across the board, a high number of dropouts, and this weird situation (assuming it is some type of injury), I think it’s safe to say it was a terrible idea to have the Championships so late in the season. Most athletes peaked for the DL finals (a month ago!) Its hard to compete at your best this deep into a season. But seeing as how the World Champs and next World Cup are both in Qatar, I think it’s safe to say a lot of money was paid by the Qatari government.
Even at all that, I think that DAS would have won, except maybe SMU would have been a problem

??
Am I messing something? Why aren't the women's finals a light show as the men?

+1
It’s all wrong. Sprinters only have small windows of peak, and need regular seasons
If anyone in the prediction contest was able to call this M 110H in correct order, they should get bonus points. Good call Ato with Holloway as the winner!!
GRANT HOLLOWAY!!!

Mcleod was swerving into Ortega's lane there

Was wondering the same thing, but seems like they reserve that to the final event of night.

For sure. Tough break. Such are hurdles finals.
Another gold for USA, still W 400m hurdles and relays to come...
He wasn’t going to win, but Ortega definitely could have medaled if not for McLeod impeding him.
I’m a D2 female runner. Our coach explicitly told us not to visit LetsRun forums.
Great interview with Steve Cram - says Jakob has no chance of WRs this year
