I REFUSE TO EVER HEAR KENNY SLANDER EVER AGAIN
LEGEND PROVING IT OVER AND OVER
Kenny just cocksmacked father time and the haters in the face today. How they feel at 7pm tonight
I like Mo Farah and Galen Rupp - but let's be honest here - it's becoming increasingly clear that the Mo Farah ten straight titles reign on track was a historically rather weak period where both older and younger talents than him had left the oval's 5000/10000 for the Marathon.
100% agree!!
We believe in Bekele, he believes in himself!
Amazing day today!
Bekele is the greatest runner of all time , I think everybody shoudl agree with that.
Nobody is touching his 5 000 and 10 000 records, and he is just 2 seconds off the marathon record, if the pacemakers had run longer he could have beaten the record, his finish was unreal, out of this world.
If Bekele had run the marathon at age 25 when he was setting 5k and 10k records, he could have gone sub 2:01 quite easily I think.
And on 3 months of training.
He said in the post race interview that he needs 4-5 months training to do his best.
Man Bekele loves barely missing marathon world records. First 6 seconds, now 2 seconds?! I would have such mixed emotions lol.
what makes it all the more better is that everyone taught he was busted at 30km even the commentators began writing him off. all of them said the early pace was too fast. KB has shown he is still capable beating kipchoge like he did on track. do you think he can beat the world record #GOAT
If Ken did not keep looking at his watch every 20 seconds, i think he would have broken it.
He did not know. With 1k to go he was still looking around and looking at his watch. computing in his head.
You shold have got his head down and run. He is better than the time he run today.
THE GOAT!!!!!!!!!!
no questions about that

Such lack of confidence and disbelief by all that watch looking. Makes you think he had to trust something else besides training for his effort today.

i did so, and i am here to say that i was utterly wrong and did not think about the fact that incredible talent is capable of almost everything.
bekele said that he was injured two months ago and the training was not perfect. what a runner.
GOAT for sure
KB is an all-time great, but not the greatest of all time. A true GOAT has consistent performances.
With that said.... wow. 2:01 is mind-numbingly shpeedy
Is Bekele taking some awesome new PED? This all seems suspicious to me.

Lol he was ultra consistent in his track and cross country days. Not even the slightest doubt, 12:37, 26:17 and 2:01:41, there just is no competiton.

He’s the GOAT overall distance runner (Xc, track, roads). But he’s far from the GOAT marathoner.
I’ll second this.

You realized of course he dominated the track for 6-7 years?

I’ll third that. Love Bekele, Kipchoge and Kam but find it hard to trust the performances 100% given the doping issue in East Africa and the unbelievable times the NN group runners are dropping at the moment. Perhaps they’re legit though and benefitting from some solid investment/structure and I’m just a miserable, cynical son of a run.
