There's a really wimpy 2nd pack of 5+ guys who only ran the first 10k in 29:30. In all seriousness, this could be a big opportunity for an unknown to place highly since so many of these guys are going to blow up.

Spoke too soon. Pacemaker #70 dead.
-
43:29 at 15k, bekele still looks like he's out for an easy run
-
Sara Hall is absolutely flying. She is at 2:22:24 pace through 15k. And she is in 9th!
-
Another Pacer down by 19k. Only one Pacer remaining.
-
But slowed down a bit in the last 5k segment. I hope for a PB!

One of the pacemakers runs like a Japanese lady.
-
57:58 through 20k, wow! 2:02:16 pace
-
1:01:05 for Hm

His cadence is 195-200. But he looks really comfy, like he could make 30k. -
1:01.05!
-
And 61:05 through half!

Yep, no diss. Just a very restrained style. -
HM 1:01:05. Bekele looks to be in a great shape. It appears they think that they could match Kipchoge... Not likely but it would be great to see a 2:02 marathon run by someone other than him...
-
Hang in there, Bekele!
They say Sara Hall is running NYC as well. Good for her, going for a PR here and cashing in there. -
Cherono falling back at 20k.

Still 9th at 20km on 2:22:37 pace but is a bit isolated (she may have some men around her).
Cherono is 18sec behind leaders at 20km and appears to be dropped. -
70:20 at half for the women
-
Sara Hall 1:11:17 through half!
