who gets 1000+ miles out of h streets?

i have about 300miles on mine. upper is fine, sole is smooth on the forefoot area tho. not much grip on wet concrete. but its doing fine. im thinkin bout tryin the leather ones.

I've been using mine since May '04 and the outsole is completely smooth. But that's not really a problem as long as I'm not on wet grass or cement.

trackhead, about how many miles do you have on them? also, how is the traction on wet conrete (blacktop/street)? any better than cement?

I have a pair I use for driving to work. They have a bit over 50,000km on them and very little wear,

i just bought a pair at an outlet about a month ago. i found the original poster's review/ comments to be along the same lines that i have thought. so far i have about 50 miles on mine (i'm slowly easing into the transition) and run equally on the asphalt and dirt trail.

i highly recomend them to anyone willing to try a minimalist approach. but, i would like to hear some other people's reviews and mileage stories out of them, as well as what types of running they do (workouts vs. long runs, etc.)

so far, i use them on my recovery runs.

ive ran in the h streets for the couple years. Easily put over 1000 miles in every pair. Ive on my fifth now? After about a thousand miles, the side mesh will tear on me. Then the area above the big toe will go too. But i love them. I had a cobler put a peice of leather along the side to fix the tear, this kept them together for another 1000+ miles before that pair was gone. Ive done everything in them. 22+ mile long runs, track workouts, runs through the snow in 0 degree weather, 150 mile weeks in them. they are great. Tried the leather ones, I don't like them as much and actually never ran in that pair much, they are much more inflexable than the regular mesh. That's why i like em, it feels pretty close to barefoot.

more importantly, who gets plantar fascitis from running in h-streets?

thanks for the feedback. i'm taking my h streets to a cobbler to see if they can put a different outsole on them, one that would have better traction on wet pavement. not going to get it done now, but i wanted to check out the possibilities.
