WOW, looks like a close shave.
Suffered 'minor injuries'.
Report states he 'lost control' of his car. Hope this isn't connected to his recent personal problems.

A lot of rumours in Kenya of his heavy drinking and erratic behaviour

Are you in Kenya that you know this, or you met him when he was drunk?

Was there for a month training a couple of months ago. I never saw him myself but heard enough stories. Didn’t sound good.

First thing I looked at was the time of the crash. The accident happened at 2am. This confirms to me that David Rudisha has indeed lost his way. Nothing good happens after midnight! So sad!

‘I’m gonna make up rumours about Rudisha being an alcoholic in a place I’ve never been’
*fixed it for ya

I realize you are only relaying rumors, but have you thought about their impact on the man? If it were you, would you prefer to have such rumors floated about freely, without an ounce of consideration? You probably mean no harm. Let's both wish the best for him in his life.
That will buff out, no bother.

I am shocked, shocked, shocked that you didn't connect it to doping.
I AM SHOCKED!

What's really amazing is that the sun was shining at 2 am!

I wish him the best, but ultimately it’s up to him to take ownership and accountability for his life

He just told you that he was there for a month. Do you need to live in Greece and be Greek to know that the Mediterranean is blue?

Wow, not the smartest of crowds here, is it?
Thank goodness his muscular physique saved him from further injuries.
I hope he will be okay, most likely his career as an 800M runner is over. He was one of the most graceful runners ever, as was his predecessor Wilson Kipketer. Only Rudisha has more sub 1:42 clockings than Kipketer's 4.
What kind of car was that, can't even tell it's so smashed.
He hit a bus from behind, sounds like speeding but guess the bus could have been stopped.

A lot of rumors everywhere on Planet Earth of Notgoodsigns' heavy drinking and erratic behavior. LetsRun's latest rumormonger also claims Bigfoot sightings (told to him or her by someone who knows someone who knows someone who claims encounters), which are plotted on the map seen in the story.
https://www.nbcnews.com/sciencemain/looking-bigfoot-follow-map-others-have-seen-em-there-4B11203811By the way, I heard that David Rudisha thinks the world is flat, except where he trains on hills. He also suffers, ironically, from roundulance, imparted to me by that legendary Belgian distance runner, Gaston "Stinky" Flatulenca.
Anyway, Godspeed to David in healing mind, body, liver, or whatever it takes.
