Would love to see what he could do living at altitude.
The hell?
3 great schools, academically, and NAU and Oregon? Just go to Stanford. It is the best by far academically and has a great team. An undergraduate degree from Stanford guarantees you success in life.
The gap in quality is so huge in those schools. Unless he intends to do Medical School and wants easy grades. Even then...

Flotrack Made a Great Article on Nico talking about how his coach thinks he couldve ran 14:10 at state if an all out effort even though he ran 14:28 and was 4 seconds off the great German Fernandez course record which I guess his 14:28 was an 80-90% effort according to their coach. If that really was the case Nico will make history tomorrow at NXN and should break away from this very strong field at around 2 miles or so and destroy Liam Andersons course record.
In that article it also mentions that he his now down to 3 schools which are NAU, Virginia and UNC and that he'll be deciding shortly after NXN this Saturday.
Will he run for the NAU dynasty or will he go change a program on the East coast? We should know soon.
Its a bummer that he didn't look at Colorado that would've been a really good fit for him with Mark. NAU is probably the best fit for him with Coach Smith and that team. But if you took academics and running into an account than it would be UVA. UNC is a up and coming program with milt at the helm and a great school.
Reagan Underwood has committed to playing field hockey at Liberty.
I saw a retweet by Fast Women with perhaps the best summary of where Tuohy is with regards to college. From her coach, the decision was deliberately put off until post season to minimize distractions. NC State, Villanova, Providence, Syracuse and Michigan were the official visits.
Still seems odd he ruled out Stanford at this point... he could have teamed up with Sprout and Boyden and walked away with a degree that sets him up for life while getting a chance to run with a perennial winning program.
Stanford really underperformed on the men's side this year and the new coach still needs to prove himself.
The Stanford bashing is a little excessive. If Ratcliffe finished in the top 20 overall they would have beaten BYU and won. They were one runner’s bad day from a title.
More importantly, degree and networking are good as gold. UNC and UVA are great schools, but it not in same category. With NAU and Oregon you are banking completely on a pro running career. Degree alone holds little value.
Does anyone know where Corie Smith of Clovis is looking at? Im sure Stanford and Cal Berkley are on her radar especially being from California.
Other than that the only ones left we are the NXN winners Katelyn Touhy and Nico Young. Touhy is down to 3 according to Collen Quiqley on the NXN webcast and its verified from her coach that her 5 are Villanova, NC State, Providence, Michigan and Syracuse, so she eliminated 2 of those 5. We now Nico 3 being North Carolina, NAU and Virginia. Expecting both to decide in the next month or so.
I was not the best runner and Sportsgirl in a school, but I remember how much reports, essays we need to write. For the students and pupils, who need to train a lot and have no time to make the home task, there is a wowessays.com service that cares about paper work.

Stanford will be good and so will their athletes, but they will never be great. Maybe Nico wants to have a chance at being great.
