So here is my problem. About a month ago I had this injury about 2 inches below the knee on the outside of my leg. Pushing off, and landing hurts, and even just trying to fully extend my leg hurts it. I saw a regular doctor and he said it was just tendinitis, take 10 days off. It's been a month of no running. However yesterday I played a little bit of soccer with some friends, and the pain was just as intense as ever. It's pretty sharp, fades really quick. I've already missed a month of training and I have college cross practices starting in about a month... Any ideas on what this is? Should I just take the next month off also, and hope it's better? Is there any possibility of having a decent cross season if I did this? I was running almost 60 miles a week before the injury occured.
