Insane race. I thought a sub 4 would happen but Nick Foster still won with a US #1 time. Who the hell fell with 600 to go. I only saw Payamps and Affolder go down. Unfortunate.

The Idaho sophomore ran 4:06.20. I think that's #2 AT for sophomores, behind only Jeff See. Ahead of Webb and Ryun! Not bad..
Daschbach is a junior and ran 4:03 high. Culpepper is a junior and ran 4:06 (ran 4:04 a week or two ago). Should be fun to watch the mile next year. Cole Sprout beat Culpepper a couple weeks ago in TN and also ran 4:04 as a junior, and there are a couple other dudes that have good times as well.

Affolder, Boyden, Payamps, Ana Hibbard all fell at 600 to go :(
There would have been more fast times if not for a fall with just over a lap that took down 4 runners and slowed others.
Why do people post who are so ignorant? The Brooks PR meet is the premier track invitational for high schoolers. It is the same meet where Kerr ran 3:33.
Was it Affolder that fell hardest?
I think Affolder got tripped up first, but then he took out Payamps who I think got the worst of it. It took the 2 of them a while to get up.
Affolder is finish. 5:09 mile? I could almost beat him!
Michigan runners :
Take the men’s and women’s mile and the women’s 2 mile.

Three girls under 10:00 in the two mile. Has that ever happened before?
Both winners from Ann Arbor Pioneer High

Yes it is, but who was being ignorant?

Who IS this incredible bozo, thinking that Sam Affolder's 5:09 was an indicator of his abilities at the moment? Hey, doofus, Affolder, positioned up front in something like 3rd or 4th place, went down in a nasty collision and was on his back on the track for a moment after a bunch of others ran over him. He and fellow contender Matthew Payamps, who also went down hard and was slow to rise, jogged their way to the last-place times. They didn't quit, just to make that clear.
Anyone who pays for Runnerspace can watch the video of the collision, at the 4:50 mark, here:

That is a clown question bro'.
Affolder appeared to have been pushed/tripped by Nathan Green, who got boxed in and was jostling some others trying to get out. That set off a chain reaction. Field was just too big for a high school race where kids don't have the experience of running in a tight/competitive pack.
I thought Daniel maton was poised to win this.
He ran a 1:49.7 last Week at the portland track festival. Was the fastest time in the nation at the time, I’m not sure if anyone beat it this weekend.
