Come on guys, this is crazy. Should we not pay as much attention to the first round of college football playoffs?

I've switched over to stride report.com , it's free and posted daily coverage. If they had a message board i would be done with this hellhole
I could totally be off base here.
My Take:
The biggest story of day 1 and the preliminaries is the unprecedented success of the team in blue in qualifying so many individuals onto the national stage, breaking the record for most ever in an event from a single school.
Under normal circumstances a historical accomplishment would be great for the headlines, but generating hype for the team in blue is not kosher.
There's a ton of polarity surrounding this team. Discussion surrounding this team seems to bring out more detractors and distasteful comments than any other that I have seen. There are a lot of reasons for this primarily because of the faith and religion of said university. Whether It's perceived age advantages, disagreement with their religious practices/beliefs or a number of misconceptions surrounding the faith and people that they want to cling on to.
I think the general philosophy, is to give the team credit where credit is due. But creating hype or showboating accomplishments just doesn't jive well. Articles that cause polarity, unrest, distaste, and discord are not a recipe for success.
For some reason, the Brojos decided it wasn’t important. If they had covered it and another outlet failed to, they would ask “What about the sport?”
It has been interesting watching Rojo try to explain why they neglected to cover the event. “It’s just prelims”... pretty lame.
